Too long time since last here.
anyway, update for my last blog text, reason for the fireworks was that it was like 4th of July fireworks but when it was the realy 4th of July day, it was too dangerous because afraid of fires and it was too dry here.
Now it has been raining many days so I hope the nature likes it. I also heard that here the winters are alot of rain, so it's something that I need to get used to.
Weeks has gone so fast. Good times, also bad.
There has been very emotional times here. I think because many old things are coming up on my mind but also just sometimes feelng little lonely. Especially on weekends, when stuck in here it's not so nice.
I was leader two weeks in my small group and it didn't go that well. I felt that I was stepped over as a leader . First time I was so shocked about it that I didn't really know what to do and the second time I was more prepared but I had to raise my hand at times to get attention or raise my voice. It's crazy. And I don't even get their jokes, maybe because English isn't my first language or I just don't think it's that funny. I'm just praying that I could also find my place in that group.
School has been great, lot of great teachings and good words. Of course sometimes I'm getting tired there but it's okay. My Spanish studies isn't going that well. I'm there but not maybe learning that much than others Last time the teacher came to me and asked why I always sit in the back. I sit on third row, that's the last row too. I like there but I promised that next time I'll sit on the second row. Then we have also some visitors and much fun there. So, I'm excited about that.
Yesterday I was baking some korvapuusti, cinnamon rolls as they call it here. I spent like 30 minutes finding cardemum from the store and it was there. I just didn't find it. My friend did. I paid almost 5 dollars for the small thing. Crazy!!!
So I baked at Candace, Christina and Kalias place. Jiba also got some taste of my korvapuusti.
They were success! But yeah, I was tired after that. Before that we spent our time at this Thai place eating, then driving in the rain and going to the grocery store to buy stuff that I needed. Now I have my own rolling pin. Yay!
Today is important day here in the States. Voting day, 4th of November. Obama or McCain. Here I have seen and heard that at least for the Christian voters are important what they think about abortion and gaymarriages. Here has been lot of prayer events and all that for the nation and also for the elections, so that the right person will get chosen.
Today I have free day and also tomorrow. Little special treat, because there's this Leadership Advance at Bethel. So on Thursday to school and to outreach. We started that last week. It went well, I was little scared but it was good. I'm just not used to knock peoples doors, even though this was just giving them the surveys. will see how it goes next week, I mean this week.
Tomorrow we are going to Sacramento. At least me, Leah and Joe. Maybe some others too, if they want to come. I think we will have good time there. Yeah!
